EWANGELIA - Mt 11, 28-30 (Jezus cichy i pokorny sercem)

W owym czasie Jezus przemówił tymi słowami:
«Przyjdźcie do Mnie wszyscy, którzy utrudzeni i obciążeni jesteście, a Ja was pokrzepię. Weźcie moje jarzmo na siebie i uczcie się ode Mnie, bo jestem łagodny i pokorny sercem, a znajdziecie ukojenie dla dusz waszych. Albowiem jarzmo moje jest słodkie, a moje brzemię lekkie».

MEDYTACJA

Jezus zaprasza, by do Niego przychodzić. Kieruje swoje zaproszenie zwłaszcza do utrudzonych i obciążonych. Obiecuje im odpoczynek i ukojenie...
Czasami nasze wyobrażenia o Bogu, wymagającym albo ciągle niezadowolonym, nie pozwalają nam przy Nim odpocząć. Jezus pozwala na odpoczynek. Obdarza nas nim i cieszy się, gdy odpoczywamy...

Słowa Jezusa są pełne otuchy i pokrzepienia. Są balsamem na skołatane i zalęknione nasze dusze. Pokusa wprowadzania wokół prawa Bożego, przykazań
i praktyk religijnych, ‘gęstych zasieków’ skrupulatnych przepisów, zawsze była duża...

Jezus odwraca hierarchię. Ważne jest nie tyle prawo, które staje się ciężkim ‘jarzmem’, co nauczanie bez przemocy ani wyniosłości, ‘łatwe do uniesienia’ dla prostych i biednych. Ta ‘łatwość’ bierze się z naśladowania Jezusa w Jego miłosierdziu i współczuciu...

Poczucie bycia przygniecionym przez różne ‘ciężary’, słabości, choroby i życiowe zawody jest doświadczeniem powszechnym. Jezus nie eliminuje tych doświadczeń z życia, ale nadaje im sens. Daje nam przykład. Sam idzie na Golgotę i pomaga nam dźwigać nasze krzyże...

Często wydaje się, że tak wiele możemy sami. Dopiero przeciwności, które przekraczają nas i nasze możliwości, powodują zwrot w stronę Boga. Im szybciej zrozumiemy, że jest On, że ukochał nas troskliwą i czułą miłością, że możemy przychodzić do Niego ze wszystkim, tym lepiej...

Jarzmo Chrystusa słodkie, a brzemię lekkie, bo tak naprawdę nie jest czymś zewnętrznym, ale jest wypisane w sercu człowieka. Stwórca od początku je
w nim zawarł i jeśli przyjmujemy to, czego uczył Jezus, odnajdujemy to, co uważamy za mądre i dobre. Odnajdujemy swoje najgłębsze pragnienia….

Najpierw pokrzepiające wezwanie do obciążonych i utrudzonych, a potem wezwanie do wzięcia na siebie Jezusowego jarzma. Chodzi o trudy, ale nie o trudy życia codziennego. Raczej o utrudzenie religijnością faryzejską, nakazującą drobiazgowo trzymać się wielu setek zasad, które trudno zapamiętać, a cóż dopiero wprowadzić w życie...

Jezus daje jedną zasadę – kochaj. Kochaj Boga i bliźniego. Wszystko inne to komentarz. A zasada ta jest prosta w zastosowaniu, bo wypisana w sercu każdego człowieka. Gdy pojawia się pokusa faryzejskiego dzielenia włosa na czworo, warto o tym pamiętać...

...Jezu, proszę o głębokie doświadczenie Twojej czułej miłości w moim utrudzeniu... Proszę o łaskę zrozumienia, że prawo miłości to nie uciążliwy ciężar, ale unosząca siła duchowa... Dziękuję za łaskę pokoju i radości odnajdywane w Sercu Bożym...

GOSPEL - Mt 11, 28-30 (Jesus, meek and humble in heart)

At that time Jesus spoke these words:
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble
in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

MEDITATION

Jesus invites us to come to Him. He addresses his invitation especially to those who are weary and burdened. He promises them rest and solace...
Sometimes our ideas about God, demanding or constantly dissatisfied, do not allow us to rest with Him. Jesus allows us to rest. He gives it to us and rejoices when we rest...

Jesus' words are full of encouragement and comfort. They are a balm for our troubled and fearful souls. The temptation to introduce 'thick networks'
of meticulous regulations around God's law, commandments and religious practices has always been great...

Jesus reverses the hierarchy. What is important is not so much the law, which becomes a heavy 'yoke', but teaching without violence or haughtiness, 'easy to bear' for the simple and poor. This 'ease' comes from imitating Jesus in His mercy and compassion...

The feeling of being crushed by various 'burdens', weaknesses, illnesses and life's failures is a common experience. Jesus does not eliminate these experiences from life, but gives them meaning. He gives us an example. He himself goes to Golgotha ??and helps us carry our crosses...

It often seems that we can do so much on our own. Only adversities that exceed us and our capabilities cause us to turn towards God. The sooner we understand that He is there, that He loved us with a caring and tender love, that we can come to Him with everything, the better...

The yoke of Christ is sweet and the burden is light, because in fact it is not something external, but is written on the heart of man. The Creator included them in us from the beginning, and if we accept what Jesus taught, we find what we consider wise and good. We find our deepest desires….

First, an encouraging call to those burdened and weary, and then a call to take on Jesus' yoke. It's about hardships, but not the hardships of everyday life. Rather, it is about being bothered by Pharisaical religiosity, which requires meticulous adherence to many hundreds of rules that are difficult to remember, let alone implement...

Jesus gives one rule - love. Love God and your neighbor. Everything else is a comment. And this rule is easy to apply, because it is written in the heart
of every person. When the temptation to split hairs in a Pharisaical way arises, it is worth remembering this...

...Jesus, I am asking for a deep experience of Your tender love in my hardship... I am asking for the grace to understand that the law of love is not an burdensome burden, but a lifting spiritual force... Thank you for the grace of peace and joy found in the Heart of God...
