EWANGELIA - Mt 12, 14-21 (Jezus cichy i pokorny sercem)

Faryzeusze wyszli i odbyli naradę przeciw Jezusowi, w jaki sposób Go zgładzić.
Gdy Jezus dowiedział się o tym, oddalił się stamtąd. A wielu poszło za Nim i uzdrowił ich wszystkich. Lecz im surowo zabronił, żeby Go nie ujawniali. Tak miało się spełnić słowo proroka Izajasza:
«Oto mój Sługa, którego wybrałem, umiłowany mój, w którym moje serce ma upodobanie. Położę ducha mojego na Nim, a On zapowie prawo narodom. Nie będzie się spierał ani krzyczał, i nikt nie usłyszy na ulicach Jego głosu. Trzciny zgniecionej nie złamie ani knota tlejącego nie dogasi, aż zwycięsko sąd przeprowadzi. W Jego imieniu narody nadzieję pokładać będą».

MEDYTACJA

Bóg przemawia dziś do nas poprzez proroka. Mówi: Oto On, Jezus Chrystus, Alfa i Omega, początek i koniec. Ten, którego kocham wieczną miłością. Bóg, który stał się Człowiekiem, pragnie być dla nas słońcem poranka i gwiazdą polarną. Zależy Mu, by napełniać nasze życie swoją obecnością...

Boga nie interesują siła, władza lub splendor. Potrafi być tak delikatny, że można Go nie zauważyć. On czasem wypełnia sobą ciszę, samotność lub inne pozornie puste w nas obszary. Spróbujmy Go tam poszukać...

Bóg widzi nasze życie w całej różnorodności naszych doświadczeń, w radości sukcesów i smutku porażek, w pięknie naszych zachwytów i wzruszeń oraz
w ciężarze lęków i zranień. Wykracza poza nasze tu i teraz. Jego miłość do nas jest w stanie przezwyciężyć wszystko...

Dzisiejsze Słowo, zarówno postawa Jezusa, który dowiadując się, że trwa spisek przeciwko Niemu, mimo wszystko uzdrawia tych, co za Nim idą, pozwala im zbliżyć się do Siebie...

Jezus jest dobry. Każdemu daje szansę, ale nigdy nie narzuca się. Szanuje wolność człowieka. Nigdy nie będzie wpraszał się w niczyje życie. Czeka na zaproszenie...

Jezus oddala się od miejsca, w którym jest zagrożony. Czyni cuda. Uzdrawia, ale nie chce być ujawnionym. To, co czyni nie ma wywoływać zdziwienia, ani nie jest żadną prowokacją. Jezus robi tak, aby się wypełniło Pismo...

Działanie Boga jest zawsze 'na rzecz człowieka'. Jezus nie jest postacią surową, pochmurną, nieprzystępną. On działał z łagodnością, pokorą i cichością. Nie miał roszczeń ani ukrytych zamiarów. Był cierpliwy i zawsze ukierunkowany na wypełnienie woli Ojca. Do Jezusa każdy ma przystęp. U Niego znajdzie miłość, która ‘podnosi na duchu’...

Jezus ‘surowo’ zabrania, by Go ujawniać. Nie działa dla rozgłosu i wywołania zdziwienia. Nie narzuca się. ‘Oddala się’ nie przez wstydliwość czy skromność, ale po to, by Jego ‘tożsamość’ Syna Bożego nie została ‘przed czasem’ opacznie zrozumiana...

Pomimo zagrożenia spowodowanego głoszeniem Ewangelii, uzdrawianiem chorych lub innymi znakami, Jezus nie zaprzestaje służyć potrzebującym. Nie zniechęca się...

Bóg uzdrawia ludzi i dziś, na wiele sposobów. Wyciąga nas z grzechów, słabości, depresji, niewiary we własne siły, z kompleksów. I zaprasza nas do współpracy z Nim przez dzielenie się wiarą...

Niech dzieje się Ewangelia. Chociażby przez świadectwo naszej zmiany, przez wysłuchanie, danie nadziei, pomoc w chorobie, wrażliwość na czyjeś problemy, podzielenie się jedzeniem…

Bóg jest sprawiedliwy. Widzi krzywdzonych i krzywdzicieli. I nie jest mu obojętne kto kim jest. Choć jedni i drudzy doczekają się sprawiedliwości, to przecież dla jednych i dla drugich będzie to znaczyło zupełnie coś innego...

Uzdrowienie i wrogość przeplatają się nawzajem. Zwrot ku życiu, który wzbudza Bóg swoim działaniem, i zwrot ku złu, jaki wykonuje człowiek. Kierunki rozbieżne. Jezus zakazuje uzdrowionym manifestowania Jego działań w środowisku, by uchronić ich przed wyśmianiem i agresją. Lepiej, gdy przemówi najpierw ich życie niż słowa...

Bóg nie przeciąga liny ze złem, nie istnieje zmaganie Miłości i 'braku' na tym samym poziomie. Dlatego ani Jezus nie da się złamać jak trzcina, pomimo deptania z różnych stron, ani On nikogo nie niszczy. On jest żyjącym Bogiem, a zło, z wyboru, niszczy czyniącego je. Nadzieja więc może być pokładana tylko
w Nim...

...Jezu, proszę o dogłębne i przemieniające doświadczenie Twojej łagodności... Proszę o łaskę odwagi, która potrafi stawić czoło wrogości... Dziękuję za wzór łagodności, miłosierdzia i wsparcia, inspirowany Twoją postawą...

GOSPEL - Mt 12, 14-21 (Jesus, meek and humble in heart)

The Pharisees went out and held a meeting against Jesus on how to kill Him.
When Jesus heard about this, he withdrew from there. And many followed Him, and He healed them all. But He strictly forbade them not to reveal Him. This was to fulfill the words of the prophet Isaiah:
“This is my Servant whom I have chosen, my beloved, with whom my heart is well pleased. I will put my spirit on him, and he will speak justice to the nations. He will not argue or shout, and no one will hear His voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, nor a smoldering wick he will quench, until he has won judgment. In his name the nations will hope."

MEDITATION

God speaks to us today through a prophet. He says: This is Him, Jesus Christ, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. The one I love with eternal love. God, who became Man, wants to be the morning sun and the polar star for us. He wants to fill our lives with his presence...

God is not interested in strength, power or splendor. He can be so delicate that you may not notice Him. He sometimes fills silence, loneliness or other seemingly empty areas within us. Let's try to find Him there...

God sees our lives in all the diversity of our experiences, in the joy of successes and the sadness of failures, in the beauty of our delights and emotions and in the weight of our fears and hurts. It goes beyond our here and now. His love for us can overcome everything...

Today's Word, both the attitude of Jesus who, learning that there is a conspiracy against Him, nevertheless heals those who follow Him, allows them to come closer to Him...

Jesus is good. He gives everyone a chance, but never imposes himself. Respects human freedom. He will never invite himself into anyone's life. Waiting for an invitation...

Jesus moves away from the place where he is threatened. Makes miracles. He heals but refuses to be exposed. What he does is not intended to cause surprise, nor is it a provocation of any kind. Jesus does this to fulfill the Scripture...

God's action is always 'for man's benefit'. Jesus is not a stern, gloomy or inaccessible figure. He acted with gentleness, humility and meekness. He had no claims or hidden agenda. He was patient and always focused on fulfilling the Father's will. Everyone has access to Jesus. With Him you will find love that 'lifts your spirit'...

Jesus 'strictly' forbids revealing Him. It doesn't work for publicity or to cause surprise. It's not intrusive. He 'distances himself' not out of shyness
or modesty, but so that His 'identity' as the Son of God is not misunderstood 'before time'...

Despite the threats caused by preaching the Gospel, healing the sick or other signs, Jesus does not stop serving those in need. Don't get discouraged...

God heals people today, in many ways. It pulls us out of sins, weaknesses, depression, disbelief in our own strength, and complexes. And he invites us to cooperate with Him by sharing our faith...

Let the Gospel happen. Even by witnessing our change, by listening, giving hope, helping in illness, sensitivity to other people's problems, sharing food...

God is just. He sees the wronged and the wrongdoers. And he doesn't care who he is. Although both will receive justice, it will mean something completely different for both...

Healing and hostility intertwine. The turn towards life that God arouses through his action and the turn towards evil that man performs. Divergent directions. Jesus forbids the healed from manifesting His actions in the environment to protect them from ridicule and aggression. It's better for their lives to speak first than their words...

God does not tug of war with evil, there is no struggle between Love and 'lack' on the same level. Therefore, Jesus cannot be broken like a reed, despite being trampled on from all sides, nor does He destroy anyone. He is the living God, and evil, by choice, destroys the one who does it. Hope can only be placed in Him...

...Jesus, I am asking for a profound and transforming experience of Your gentleness... I am asking for the grace of courage that can face hostility... Thank you for the example of gentleness, mercy and support, inspired by Your attitude...
