PONIEDZIAŁEK, Uroczystość Najświętszej Maryi Panny Częstochowskiej

EWANGELIA - J 2, 1-11 (Wesele w Kanie Galilejskiej)

W Kanie Galilejskiej odbywało się wesele i była tam Matka Jezusa.
Zaproszono na to wesele także Jezusa i Jego uczniów. A kiedy zabrakło wina, Matka Jezusa mówi do Niego: «Nie mają już wina».
Jezus Jej odpowiedział: «Czyż to moja lub Twoja sprawa, Niewiasto? Jeszcze nie nadeszła godzina moja».
Wtedy Matka Jego powiedziała do sług: «Zróbcie wszystko, cokolwiek wam powie».
Stało zaś tam sześć stągwi kamiennych przeznaczonych do żydowskich oczyszczeń, z których każda mogła pomieścić dwie lub trzy miary.
Rzekł do nich Jezus: «Napełnijcie stągwie wodą». I napełnili je aż po brzegi. Potem do nich powiedział: «Zaczerpnijcie teraz i zanieście staroście weselnemu». Ci zaś zanieśli.
A gdy starosta weselny skosztował wody, która stała się winem, i nie wiedział, skąd ono pochodzi, ale słudzy, którzy czerpali wodę, wiedzieli, przywołał pana młodego i powiedział do niego: «Każdy człowiek stawia najpierw dobre wino, a gdy się napiją, wówczas gorsze. Ty zachowałeś dobre wino aż do tej pory».
Taki to początek znaków uczynił Jezus w Kanie Galilejskiej. Objawił swoją chwałę i uwierzyli w Niego Jego uczniowie.

MEDYTACJA

W życiu każdego z nas bywają chwile wielkich radości. Nasza codzienność jest też wypełniona małymi radościami. Pomyślmy o swoich wielkich i małych radościach. Spróbujmy poszukać w nich obecności Jezusa...

Bóg pragnie być blisko nas, towarzyszyć nam we wszystkim, czym żyjemy i czemu oddajemy swoje serce. Wyobraźmy sobie Jezusa, który cierpliwie czeka, by posłuchać o tym, co nas pasjonuje i co przynosi nam radość...

Bóg nie jest jedynie obserwatorem. Chce nie tylko słuchać, ale też uczestniczyć w naszym życiu i czynić je lepszym. Nie zamyka oczu na nasze potrzeby, lecz chce nas obdarować tym, co najlepsze. Nie przeszkadzają Mu nasze braki, On ma moc je wypełnić...

"Zróbcie wszystko, cokolwiek wam powie" (J 2, 5). Ta podpowiedź Maryi, którą usłyszeli posługujący na weselu w Kanie, jest i dla nas wielką radą naszej Matki i Królowej. Przez dzieje historii naszego narodu zawsze kiedy tej podpowiedzi słuchaliśmy – wygrywaliśmy...

Przemiana 600 litrów wody w wino jest zaskakującym ‘pierwszym znakiem’, jakiego dokonuje Jezus, zwłaszcza w perspektywie słabości człowieka do nadużywania alkoholu. Ale ten cud ma głębsze znaczenie. Dokonuje się ‘trzeciego dnia’. To dzień zmartwychwstania i życia. Dokonuje się na ‘prośbę Matki’...

Ewangelista Jan mówi, że cud w Kanie Galilejskiej to ‘początek znaków’, co odnosi nas do kolejnych wydarzeń Ewangelii, a zwłaszcza do ‘godziny’ Jezusa
i Jego przebitego boku, z którego obficie wypływa ‘krew i woda’. Jezus przemienia zwyczajność i braki naszego życia w obfitość ‘dobrego wina’...

Słudzy są ‘wykonawcami’ znaku, jaki zapowiada Jezus. Maryja i słudzy to obraz ludu gotowego do zachowania przymierza: 'uczynimy wszystko'. Jezus jest Słowem Boga. Kiedy Go słuchamy, to, co zwyczajne, ‘woda naszego człowieczeństwa’, przemienia się w ‘wino’ Jego bóstwa...

Za wstawiennictwem Maryi mogą dziać się zadziwiające wydarzenia. Jezus z odpadków, z nieczystości rytualnych zgromadzonych w stągwiach kamiennych, jest w stanie uczynić najlepsze na świecie wino. Tak samo może wydarzyć się i dziś...

Bóg nasze słabości, grzechy, kompleksy, niewiarę w to, że możemy coś zmienić w sobie, może nawet przemienić. Prośmy Go lub prośmy za wstawiennictwem Maryi, która najpełniej umiłowała, aby i nas zmieniał, abyśmy uwierzyli, że jest to możliwe...

...Jezu, proszę o głębokie pragnienie życia Twoim Słowem... Proszę o łaskę przeżywania mojej zwyczajnej codzienności jako okazję do ‘przemiany’... Dziękuję za dar Eucharystii...

MONDAY, Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Częstochowa

GOSPEL - J 2:1-11 (The Wedding at Cana)

A wedding was taking place at Cana in Galilee, and the Mother of Jesus was there.
Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding. And when the wine had run out, the Mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine."
Jesus answered her, "Is it my business or yours, woman? My hour has not yet come."
Then his mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."
Now there were six stone waterpots set there, for Jewish purifications, each holding two or three measures.
Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them to the brim. Then he said to them, "Draw some out now and take it to
the headwaiter." And they carried it.
And when the head of the wedding feast had tasted the water that had become wine, and did not know where it came from, but the servants who drew the water knew, he called the bridegroom and said to him, "Every man sets out the good wine first, and when they have drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now."
This is the beginning of the signs that Jesus did in Cana of Galilee. He revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

MEDITATION

In the life of each of us there are moments of great joy. Our daily life is also filled with small joys. Let us think about our great and small joys. Let us try to look for the presence of Jesus in them...

God wants to be close to us, to accompany us in everything we live and to which we give our hearts. Let us imagine Jesus who patiently waits to hear about what fascinates us and what brings us joy...

God is not just an observer. He wants not only to listen, but also to participate in our lives and make them better. He does not close his eyes to our needs, but wants to give us the best. Our shortcomings do not hinder Him, He has the power to fulfill them...

"Do whatever He tells you" (Jn 2:5). This advice from Mary, which the servants heard at the wedding in Cana, is also for us the great advice of our Mother and Queen. Throughout the history of our nation, whenever we listened to this advice - we won...

The transformation of 600 liters of water into wine is a surprising 'first sign' that Jesus performs, especially in the perspective of man's weakness to abuse alcohol. But this miracle has a deeper meaning. It takes place 'on the third day'. It is the day of resurrection and life. It takes place at the 'request
of the Mother'...

The evangelist John says that the miracle in Cana is 'the beginning of signs', which refers us to subsequent events in the Gospel, and especially to the 'hour' of Jesus and His pierced side, from which 'blood and water' flow abundantly. Jesus transforms the ordinariness and shortcomings of our lives into an abundance of ‘good wine’...

Servants are the ‘doers’ of the sign that Jesus announces. Mary and the servants are the image of a people ready to keep the covenant: ‘we will do everything’. Jesus is the Word of God. When we listen to Him, what is ordinary, the ‘water of our humanity’, is transformed into the ‘wine’ of His divinity...

Through Mary’s intercession, amazing events can happen. Jesus is able to make the best wine in the world from waste, from ritual impurities gathered in stone jars. The same can happen today...

God can even transform our weaknesses, sins, complexes, disbelief that we can change something in ourselves. Let us ask Him, or ask Him through the intercession of Mary, who loved us most fully, to change us too, so that we may believe that it is possible...

...Jesus, I ask for a deep desire to live by Your Word... I ask for the grace to experience my ordinary everyday life as an opportunity for ‘transformation’...
I thank you for the gift of the Eucharist...
