Jezus powiedział do tłumów:
«Nikt nie zapala lampy i nie przykrywa jej garncem ani nie stawia pod łóżkiem; lecz stawia na świeczniku, aby widzieli światło ci, którzy wchodzą. Nie ma bowiem nic ukrytego, co by nie miało być ujawnione, ani nic tajemnego, co by nie było poznane i na jaw nie wyszło.
Uważajcie więc, jak słuchacie. Bo kto ma, temu będzie dane; a kto nie ma, temu zabiorą i to, co mu się wydaje, że ma».

Bóg nie stawia przed nami zadań, zanim nie udzieli nam darów, dzięki którym będziemy mogli je wypełnić. To On jest tym, który zapala lampę. To On stawia ją na świeczniku. Okazuje się, że naszym zadaniem jest pozwolić, by to światło rozjaśniało ciemności...

Bóg jest hojnym dawcą. Rozdaje w obfitości swoje dary. Paradoksalny jest fakt, że dodaje tym, którzy już mają...

Tak naprawdę, to nigdy nie zrozumiemy Boga. Jego myślenie, plany, wartościowanie, zamiary, perspektywy, zawsze nas przekraczają. Najważniejsze jest to, żeby mieć tego świadomość. Pamiętać, że naprawdę nie wiele o Bogu wiemy. To rodzi pokorę...

Nasze życie ma rozświetlać ewangelicznie świat. Zakłada to pozycję nie supremacji czy większości, ale mniejszości. Po zmroku, w ciemnościach, światłem świecznika, lampki nocnej, rozświetlamy noc, ale to nadal noc i ciemność wokół. Światło tych lampek nocnych służy na przykład temu, aby dało się w ciemności żyć...

Nie zauważając kiedy wiatr pychy zdmuchnął ze świecy światło miłości, a przewrotność zgasiła lampę, oświecającą dom prawych.,,

Jezus nie spycha nas ze świecznika. Nie zazdrości nam wiedzy i zdolności. Mają widzieć nasze dobre czyny, zapał, zaangażowanie. Bylebyśmy nie zapomnieli od Kogo i po co to wszystko otrzymaliśmy...

...Jezu, proszę o wewnętrzną prawość i uczciwość... Proszę o łaskę odwagi w dzieleniu się doświadczeniem wiary, głoszeniem słowa... Dziękuję Kościołowi
i wspólnocie za dar słowa, które otrzymałem i rozwijam...

GOSPEL - Lk 8:16-18 (The Parable of the Lamp)

Jesus said to the crowds:
"No one lights a lamp and covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed; but he puts it on a stand, that those who enter may see the light. For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing hidden that will not be known and come to light.
Therefore take care how you listen. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away."

MEDITATION

Jesus presents one of the main tasks of his disciples. They are to be like a lamp that illuminates the darkness. The light that the flame of the lamp gives allows us to see objects as they really are...

God does not set us tasks before he gives us the gifts with which we can fulfill them. It is He who lights the lamp. It is He who puts it on the lampstand. It turns out that our task is to allow this light to illuminate the darkness...

God is a generous giver. He gives his gifts in abundance. The paradox is that he adds to those who already have...

In truth, we will never understand God. His thinking, plans, valuations, intentions, perspectives, always exceed us. The most important thing is to be aware
of this. Remember that we really don't know much about God. This gives rise to humility...

In today's Gospel passage, there are several images that indicate listening to and proclaiming the word of God. The image of the light of a lamp that illuminates everything around was often used to show the word of God or the prophets, which allows us to understand and explain the reality around us...

The evangelist Luke emphasizes the attitude: 'be careful how you listen'. Attentiveness and adherence determine the effectiveness of listening. The gift must not be neglected. We receive it in order to share the word of God, the gospel and the message of salvation...

Sometimes we think that only some, specially designated for evangelization, are responsible for preaching the word. Nothing could be further from the truth. Every believer is an apostle, and his silence is an anti-testimony and a harm to the community...

Our life is to illuminate the world in the Gospel. This assumes a position not of supremacy or majority, but of minority. After dark, in darkness, with the light of a candlestick, a night lamp, we illuminate the night, but it is still night and darkness around. The light of these night lamps serves, for example, to make it possible to live in darkness...

Christianity is there to serve, to illuminate with the Gospel, to be an addition to the majority, but a very important one, because it gives shape, meaning and flavor. Christianity is not there to succumb to the temptation of force or power. Let us not therefore have any complaints that it is not majority. However, we ourselves must believe that we have an important role to fulfill as Christians. We are to fill the world with God and the Gospel...

We like to shine with eloquence, knowledge, abilities, social position, accumulated wealth, the ability to influence the course of events, titles and awards obtained, power. Not noticing when the wind of pride blew out the light of love from the candle, and perversity extinguished the lamp illuminating the house of the righteous.,,

Jesus does not push us off the candlestick. He does not envy our knowledge and abilities. They are to see our good deeds, enthusiasm, commitment. As long as we do not forget from Whom and for what purpose we received all this...
