CZWARTEK, Wspomnienie św. Ignacego Antiocheńskiego, biskupa i męczennika EWANGELIA - Łk 11, 47-54 (Jezus gromi faryzeuszów i uczonych w Prawie) Jezus powiedział do faryzeuszów i do uczonych w Prawie: MEDYTACJA "Wzięliście klucze poznania; samiście nie weszli, a przeszkodziliście tym, którzy wejść chcieli" (Łk 11, 52)... Jednym z grzechów uczonych w Prawie było to, że przeszkadzali innym na drodze do Królestwa Niebieskiego. Naszym zadaniem jest nawzajem sobie pomagać Do natury dobra należy to, że się udziela. Ich ‘mądrość’ prowadzi na manowce, zamyka ich w ‘zarozumiałej samowystarczalności’, a nie otwiera na przyjęcia Bożego miłosierdzia... Faryzeusze mają fałszywy obraz Boga, akcentujący nadmiernie prawo, pozbawiony miłosierdzia. W ten sposób sami nie widzą i innym przeszkadzają To zadziwiające, jak gwałtowne reakcje budzi łagodność i miłosierdzie Boga. Także dzisiaj, wśród wierzących, mentalność uczonych w Piśmie, akcentująca prawo, ma wielki posłuch. A Jezus bierze krzyż i idzie na Golgotę... W rozmowie, w trakcie obiadu u pewnego faryzeusza, Jezus nie obmył, zgodnie z ustanowionymi przez Żydów dodatkowymi przykazaniami, rąk przed jedzeniem. Wywiązała się wówczas rozmowa, nie po myśli faryzeusza, o podwójnym życiu ówczesnych duchownych, udawaniu lepszego niż się rzeczywiście jest, wymaganiu od innych, a nie od siebie... Słowa Jezusa nie były przyjęte z entuzjazmem, ale budziły ekstremalnie złe emocje, gdyż Jezus używał sformułowania 'biada' na wzór starotestamentalnego proroka wieszczącego nadciagające zło dla Izraela... Faryzeusze, uczeni w Piśmie, nie żyli tym, czego nauczali. Wydawało im się, że wiedzą o Bogu wszystko i że są Jego specjalnymi wysłannikami, a do tego mogą wyznaczać innym czynności, które mają wykonać, aby dostać się do raju, choć sami ich nie wykonywali. Ta pycha i pewność specjalnego wybrania zgubiły ich... Jezus kieruje ostre słowa do faryzeuszów i uczonych w Piśmie. Mówi, że budują grobowce prorokom, których ich przodkowie zabijali. Uznają proroków za świętych, ale równocześnie nie słuchają ich przesłania. Budują na ich fundamencie swoją religijność, a nie potrafią przyjąć Słowa Bożego... Jezus przestrzega przed hipokryzją i brakiem wierności wobec Bożego przesłania. Faryzeusze byli tymi, którzy mieli dostęp do wiedzy o Bogu, ale ich serca pozostały zamknięte na prawdę... Jezus poważnie oskarżył faryzeuszów. Oni jednak nie próbowali bronić się, ale natychmiast przeszli do kontrataku. Starali się pochwycić Jezusa na słowie, by znaleźć powód do oskarżenia Go... 'Pochwycić na słowie', to metoda często stosowana i dziś. Wystarczy jedna niezręczna czy nieintencjonalnie dwuznaczna wypowiedź i zaczyna się oskarżanie ...Jezu, proszę o serce pokorne i otwarte na przyjęcie trudnej prawdy... Proszę o łaskę wolności, bym nie stawał się przeszkodą dla innych w przystępie do Boga... In the history of Israel, many prophets were ignored and rejected. The problem of the Israelites was their weak sensitivity to the Word of God and His presence in their community... Jesus accuses the Pharisees of not being able to stand in the truth in the face of the errors and sins of their community of faith. Instead, they built beautiful monuments... One of the sins of the scribes was that they hindered others on the path to the Kingdom of Heaven. Our task is to help each other to encounter God... It is part of the nature of goodness that it is contagious. It includes new people all the time. To stand in the way of this action is a great evil. In this way, one cuts oneself off from the good of those who could enter and grow through it in their humanity. Faith is governed by the logic of contagion and including others in the beneficial radiation of the Gospel. Every attempt to appropriate the treasure of faith is its misappropriation... The repeatedly uttered ‘woe’ is not a threat, but a kind of lament of Jesus over the hypocrisy of the scribes and Pharisees. Their ‘wisdom’ leads astray, locks them in ‘arrogant self-sufficiency’, and does not open them to accepting God’s mercy... The Pharisees have a false image of God, overemphasizing the law, devoid of mercy. In this way, they themselves do not see and hinder others from encountering the living God. Any notions of God, of His relationship to the world, which are different from the mercy revealed on the cross, are lies of the evil spirit... It is amazing how violent reactions are aroused by the gentleness and mercy of God. Even today, among believers, the mentality of the scribes, emphasizing the law, has great obedience. And Jesus takes the cross and goes to Golgotha... In a conversation, during dinner with a certain Pharisee, Jesus did not wash his hands before eating, in accordance with the additional commandments established by the Jews. A conversation then ensued, not in the Pharisee's opinion, about the double life of the clergy of that time, pretending to be better than one really is, demanding from others and not from oneself... Jesus' words were not received with enthusiasm, but they aroused extremely negative emotions, because Jesus used the phrase 'woe' in the manner of an Old Testament prophet predicting impending evil for Israel... The Pharisees, the scribes, did not live what they taught. They thought they knew everything about God and that they were His special messengers, and that they could also assign others the tasks they had to perform in order to get to paradise, even though they themselves did not perform them. This pride Jesus addresses harsh words to the Pharisees and scribes. He says that they build tombs for the prophets their ancestors killed. They consider the prophets holy, but at the same time they do not listen to their message. They build their religiosity on their foundation, but they are unable to accept the Word Jesus warns against hypocrisy and lack of faithfulness to God's message. The Pharisees were those who had access to knowledge about God, but their hearts remained closed to the truth... Jesus seriously accused the Pharisees. However, they did not try to defend themselves, but immediately went on the counterattack. They tried to catch Jesus in his words, to find a reason to accuse him... 'Catch in his words' is a method often used today. One awkward or unintentionally ambiguous statement is enough and the worst accusations begin. This ...Jesus, I ask for a humble heart open to accepting difficult truth... I ask for the grace of freedom so that I do not become an obstacle for others in accessing God... I thank you for those who showed me the merciful face of the Father...
