MEDYTACJA

"Tak dzieje się z każdym, kto skarby gromadzi dla siebie, a nie jest bogaty przed Bogiem" (Łk 12, 21)...

Pewien człowiek niespodziewanie zebrał obfite plony. Marzenia pozwalają nam nabrać dystansu do codzienności i odkrywają jednocześnie nasze głębsze pragnienia i wartości...

Jezus przestrzega, by nie poświęcić się gromadzeniu bogactw ziemskich i poszukiwaniu wygody. Napomina, bo wie, że tak naprawdę jesteśmy stworzeni do czegoś więcej niż do życia w dobrostanie. On nie chce, byśmy stracili głębokie pragnienia i zadowolili się namiastkami...

Jezus, choć nie krytykuje troski o posiadanie dóbr materialnych, to konkretnie ostrzega przed chciwością. Nazywa głupcami tych, którzy gromadzą bogactwa dla siebie. Zachęca natomiast, by dobra materialne wykorzystać, dzieląc się z innymi. Dawanie siebie, i tego, co moje, drugiemu przyniesie dużo więcej radości i satysfakcji, a przede wszystkim przybliży nas w drodze do osiągnięcia królestwa Bożego...

Wartość człowieka i poczucie bezpieczeństwa nie zależy od gromadzonych dóbr materialnych. Poczucie bezpieczeństwa płynie tylko z miłości do Boga i braci. Zabezpieczeniem nie są przedmioty, ale Ten, który je daje...

Ewangelista Łukasz często mówi o dobrach materialnych, jako o darach Ojca. Powinniśmy dzielić się nimi z braćmi. Jeśli tego nie robimy, nasz ogród staje się pustynią. Jedynym prawdziwym bogactwem człowieka jest to, co daje innym, czym się dzieli. Skąpiec, który stara się gromadzić, zamyka się w egoizmie
i traci wszystko...

Ktoś z tłumu kieruje prośbę do Jezusa, co powoduje zmianę tematu Jego nauczania. Jezus przechodzi od przekonywania uczniów, by nie martwili się, by nie bali się w obliczu prześladowań, do nauczania ich i tłumów, że nie należy martwić się ani bać o brak koniecznych dóbr materialnych...

Po śmierci nie staniemy przed Bogiem i nie będziemy rozliczeni z tego, jakie stanowisko osiągnęliśmy, nie z podziwu ludzi, majątku, z napisanych książek lub
z języków, jakie znamy. Będziemy rozliczani z miłości, z życia Bogiem i Ewangelią...

To, co mamy i posiadamy, mamy od Niego, a my jedynie korzystamy mniej lub bardziej umiejętnie, przez chwilę na ziemi, z Jego dobroci. Gromadźmy tu na ziemi skarby nieprzemijające, a nie tylko te materialne, władze czy sukcesy (one są ważne i są często narzędziem do uzyskania tych pierwszych). Jednak tylko skarby nieprzemijające są dla nas szansą na niebo...

Zobaczyć swój grzech, występek, i stanąć z weselem przed obliczem Boga. Jest to możliwe tylko dla tych, których dotknęła łaska, a więc dla nas wszystkich...

Pokładanie nadziei w Bogu wydaje się czasem tak odległe, niemal abstrakcyjne. Nużąca, dotkliwa codzienność naszych win wydaje się o wiele bardziej konkretna, rzeczywista. A jednak Bóg mówi do nas: Głupcze. Zważ, gdzie lokujesz swoją nadzieję, czym się chcesz ochronić, o co zabiegasz...

Prawo łaski zakłada, że coś nam się nie należy. Kiedy to wreszcie zrozumiemy? Pragnąć i otrzymać, otrzymać i dziękować, dziękować i prosić – zawsze

GOSPEL - Lk 12, 13-21 (Laying up treasures before God)

Someone in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me."
But he answered him, "Man, who made me a judge or an arbitrator over you?"
He said to them, "Take care and be on your guard against all covetousness, for not even when a man has an abundance does his life consist of
the things he has."
And he told them a parable: "The land of a certain rich man produced a good harvest. And he thought to himself, "What shall I do? I have nowhere to store my crops." And he said, "This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
And I will say to myself, You have great stores of goods laid up for many years; take your rest, eat, drink, and be merry.”
But God said to him, “You fool, this very night your life will be required of you. Whose will it be then that you have prepared?”

MEDITATION

“This is what happens to everyone who stores up treasures for himself, but is not rich toward God” (Lk 12:21)...

A certain man unexpectedly reaped an abundant harvest. Dreams allow us to distance ourselves from everyday life and at the same time discover our deeper desires and values...

Jesus warns us not to devote ourselves to accumulating earthly riches and seeking comfort. He admonishes us because he knows that we are really created for something more than a life of well-being. He does not want us to lose our deep desires and be satisfied with substitutes...

Jesus, although he does not criticize the care for possessing material goods, specifically warns against greed. He calls fools those who accumulate wealth for themselves. On the other hand, he encourages us to use material goods by sharing with others. Giving ourselves and what is mine to another will bring much more joy and satisfaction, and above all, it will bring us closer on the path to achieving the kingdom of God...

The value of a person and a sense of security do not depend on the material goods we accumulate. A sense of security flows only from love for God and our brothers and sisters. Security is not in objects, but in the One who gives them...

The Evangelist Luke often speaks of material goods as gifts from the Father. We should share them with our brothers and sisters. If we do not do this, our garden becomes a desert. The only true wealth of a person is what he gives to others, what he shares. A miser who tries to accumulate, locks himself
in selfishness and loses everything...

Possession does not give life. Accumulating and possessing more and more is a naive expectation of self-salvation. This is most often due to the fear
of death. Excessive desire for possession, fear of losing goods, must become an alarm signal...

Someone from the crowd addresses a request to Jesus, which causes a change in the subject of his teaching. Jesus moves from convincing the disciples not to worry, not to be afraid in the face of persecution, to teaching them and the crowds that they should not worry or be afraid of the lack of necessary material goods...

After death, we will not stand before God and will not be held accountable for the position we have achieved, not for the admiration of people, wealth, books written or languages ??we know. We will be held accountable for love, for living God and the Gospel...

What we have and possess, we have from Him, and we only use more or less skillfully, for a moment on earth, His goodness. Let us accumulate here on earth treasures that will not fade, and not only material treasures, powers or successes (they are important and are often a tool for obtaining the former). However, only imperishable treasures are a chance for us to reach heaven...

To see our sin, our transgression, and to stand before God with joy. This is only possible for those who have been touched by grace, and therefore for all of us...

Putting hope in God sometimes seems so distant, almost abstract. The tedious, painful everydayness of our sins seems much more concrete, real. And yet God says to us: You fool. Consider where you place your hope, what you want to protect yourself with, what you strive for...

The law of grace assumes that something is not due to us. When will we finally understand this? To desire and receive, to receive and thank, to thank
