EWANGELIA - Łk 17, 20-25 (Królestwo Boże jest wśród nas)

Jezus zapytany przez faryzeuszów, kiedy przyjdzie królestwo Boże, odpowiedział im: «Królestwo Boże nie przyjdzie dostrzegalnie; i nie powiedzą: „Oto tu jest” albo: „tam”. Oto bowiem królestwo Boże jest pośród was».
Do uczniów zaś rzekł: «Przyjdzie czas, kiedy zapragniecie ujrzeć choćby jeden z dni Syna Człowieczego, a nie zobaczycie. Powiedzą wam: „Oto tam” lub: „oto tu”. Nie chodźcie tam i nie biegnijcie za nimi. Bo jak błyskawica, gdy zabłyśnie, świeci od jednego krańca widnokręgu aż do drugiego, tak będzie
z Synem Człowieczym w dniu Jego.
Wpierw jednak musi wiele wycierpieć i być odrzuconym przez to pokolenie».

MEDYTACJA

Jezus mówi, że Królestwo Boże jest wśród nas. Przyszło poprzez Jego Wcielenie, Śmierć i Zmartwychwstanie. Przychodzi do nas w każdej Eucharystii,
w Słowie Bożym i pozostaje z nami w naszej codzienności...

Królestwo Boże jest rzeczywistością duchową. Aby je zauważyć, trzeba się zatrzymać, spojrzeć w głąb siebie. Ono jest jak otaczające nas powietrze, którym bezwiednie oddychamy...

Królestwo Boże to Jezus – Bóg z nami. 'W Nim żyjemy, poruszamy się i jesteśmy'. Królestwa Boga możemy doświadczyć również w relacjach. Jest w naszej miłości do innych i w miłości, którą okazują nam inni ludzie...

Dzień powtórnego przyjścia Pana zazwyczaj wzbudza w nas emocje. Jezus przestrzega, by nie dać się zwieść tym fałszywym prorokom, ukazuje bezsens ludzkich przygotowań na ten dzień...

"Oto bowiem królestwo Boże pośród was jest" (Łk 17, 21). Królestwo Boże to nie konkretne miejsce ani konkretny czas. Królestwo Boże to relacja z Bogiem. Już teraz możemy go doświadczać na tyle, na ile blisko jesteśmy ze Stwórcą...

Pytanie faryzeuszów o przyjście królestwa Bożego rozpoczyna Łukaszową 'małą apokalipsę'. Jezus jest pytany po ludzku o to, kiedy i gdzie. To pytania o czas
i miejsce. Nie odpowiada na to wprost. Mówi natomiast o tym, kto jest Królem (jest nim Syn Człowieczy) i jak zabłyśnie wszystkim...

Mała apokalipsa ma charakter indywidualny, osobisty. Chodzi o nasze życie i opowiadanie się za Jezusem. On chce, byśmy porzucili rozpamiętywanie przeszłości i niepokój o przyszłość. Trzeba czujnego i wiernego przeżywania teraźniejszości....

Jesteśmy bardzo zręczni w wytwarzaniu 'chrystusów' albo proroków, w których szukamy zbawienia. Zaspokajają naszą ciekawość, ale ostatecznie rozczarowują. Jezusa mamy szukać w tym, co pokorne i dyskretne. On się nie narzuca...

Jedną z 'herezji' kaznodziejstwa i katechezy jest przekazywanie twierdzenia, że 'Królestwo Boże' to rzeczywistość, która spotka nas po śmierci, czyli chodzi
o niebo. Natomiast Królestwo Boże to również sprawa tego, co dzieje się wśród nas, o czym pisze Ewangelista Łukasz, akcentując odpowiedź Jezusa na pytania faryzeuszów. Ono przyjdzie kiedyś w sposób niedostrzegalny...

Rzeczywistość na ziemi zależy także od nas i na niej się skoncentrujmy. Im więcej miłości, pokoju, szacunku, miłosierdzia, przebaczenia, pomocy i służenia, tym bardziej królowanie Boga urzeczywistnia się wśród nas i jest ono dostrzegalne. Czasem nawet nie zauważamy, jak przemieniamy się Ewangelią i po jakimś czasie ludzie nam mówią, że 'jesteśmy jacyś inni'...

Mniej mówić, a bardziej żyć Bogiem i Ewangelią. Na tym właśnie polega chrześcijaństwo...

Królestwo Boże to rzeczywistość, która jest i już działa. Jest ono obecne tam, gdzie ludzie uznają królowanie Boga i przyjmują zasady, które On objawił. Uczniowie Jezusa mają szukać królestwa w świecie ludzkich relacji, w którym żyją...

Stajemy się budowniczymi królestwa, które zostało przygotowane dla nas od założenia świata, kiedy czynimy pokój i dobro, jesteśmy solidarni
z potrzebującymi, staramy się żyć radośnie, prostolinijnie i uczciwie, zauważając tych, którzy żyją z nami i obok nas. Kiedy podejmujemy pracę nad sobą, by wyeliminować swoje wady i budować cywilizację służby...

Królestwo Boże nie znajduje się w jakimś konkretnym miejscu, gdzie można się udać i tam zamieszkać. Nigdzie nie musimy jechać. Ono jest pośród nas. Tam, gdzie jesteśmy. Ale jeśli faktycznie tak jest, dlaczego go nie dostrzegamy?...

Bóg do niczego nie zmusza. Jest królem dla tych, którzy chcą przyjąć Jego władzę i kierować się Jego prawem. Boże królestwo jest więc tam, gdzie są ludzie, którzy Boga uznają za swego króla. Od nas zależy, na ile faktycznie będzie wśród nas. Od naszego stosunku do Boga, jako króla, zależy, na ile królestwem Boga będą nasze serca...

...Jezu, proszę o serce czyste i gotowe na Twoje przyjście... Proszę o łaskę zrozumienia, że królestwo jest we mnie wtedy, gdy żyję Twoją obecnością... Dziękuję za uwolnienie od lęków o przyszłość...

GOSPEL - Lk 17, 20-25 (The Kingdom of God is among us)

When asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus answered them: "The kingdom of God will not come with observation; nor will they say, 'Look, here it is,' or 'There.' For, look! The kingdom of God is among you."
And he said to his disciples: "The time will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. They will say to you, 'Look, there,' or 'Look, here.' Do not go there or run after them. For as the lightning flashes and flashes from one end of the horizon to the other, so will
the Son of Man be on his day.
But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation."

MEDITATION

Jesus says that the Kingdom of God is among us. It came through His Incarnation, Death and Resurrection. It comes to us in every Eucharist, in the Word
of God and remains with us in our daily lives...

The Kingdom of God is a spiritual reality. To notice it, you have to stop, look deep inside yourself. It is like the air surrounding us, which we unconsciously breathe...

The Kingdom of God is Jesus - God with us. 'In Him we live, move and have our being'. We can also experience the Kingdom of God in relationships.
It is in our love for others and in the love that other people show us...

The day of the Lord's second coming usually arouses emotions in us. Jesus warns us not to be deceived by these false prophets, he shows the senselessness
of human preparations for this day...

"For behold, the kingdom of God is among you" (Luke 17:21). The kingdom of God is not a specific place or a specific time. The kingdom of God
is a relationship with God. We can experience it now to the extent that we are close to the Creator...

The question of the Pharisees about the coming of the kingdom of God begins Luke's 'little apocalypse'. Jesus is asked in a human way about when and where. These are questions about time and place. He does not answer them directly. Instead, he talks about who the King is (he is the Son of Man) and how he will shine before everyone...

The little apocalypse is individual, personal. It is about our lives and standing with Jesus. He wants us to abandon dwelling on the past and anxiety about
the future. We need to live the present vigilantly and faithfully...

We are very skillful at creating 'Christs' or prophets in whom we seek salvation. They satisfy our curiosity, but ultimately disappoint. We are to look for Jesus in what is humble and discreet. He does not impose himself...

One of the 'heresies' of preaching and catechesis is the transmission of the claim that the 'Kingdom of God' is a reality that will meet us after death, i.e. it is about heaven. However, the Kingdom of God is also a matter of what happens among us, as the Evangelist Luke writes, emphasizing Jesus' answer to the Pharisees' questions. It will come one day in an imperceptible way...

The reality on earth also depends on us and let us focus on it. The more love, peace, respect, mercy, forgiveness, help and service, the more the reign of God is realized among us and it is noticeable. Sometimes we do not even notice how we are transformed by the Gospel and after some time people tell us that 'we are somehow different'...

Less talking, and more living God and the Gospel. This is what Christianity is all about...

The Kingdom of God is a reality that is and is already working. It is present where people recognize the reign of God and accept the principles that He has revealed. The disciples of Jesus are to seek the kingdom in the world of human relationships in which they live...

We become builders of the kingdom that has been prepared for us since the foundation of the world when we make peace and good, are in solidarity with those in need, try to live joyfully, simply and honestly, noticing those who live with us and next to us. When we undertake work on ourselves to eliminate our faults and build a civilization of service...

The kingdom of God is not in a specific place where we can go and live there. We do not have to go anywhere. It is among us. Where we are. But if this is really so, why do we not see it?...

God does not force anything. He is king for those who want to accept His authority and be guided by His law. God's kingdom is therefore where there are people who recognize God as their king. It depends on us to what extent it will actually be among us. Our relationship with God as king determines to what extent our hearts will be the kingdom of God...

...Jesus, I ask for a heart that is pure and ready for Your coming... I ask for the grace to understand that the kingdom is in me when I live in Your presence... Thank you for freeing me from fears about the future...
